SILVA IMPRESSES AS FULHAM MANAGER

Former Olympiakos manager Marco Silva has impressed as the Fulham boss till date. The Portuguese tactician has done a good job since he was appointed into the managerial role at Craven Cottage last summer.

Fulham gave Silva their manager's job at the club after suffering demotion from the Premier League to the English Championship at the end of the 2020/21 season. Silva led Fulham to win the English Championship title in his first season at the London club and secure promotion to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Silva has done a good job for Fulham in the opening weeks of the current Premier League season.

The abovementioned Silva was introduced to the English public when he led Olympiakos to a famous 3-2 win at Arsenal in the Champions League during the 2015/16 season. His last managerial job was at Olympiakos before he became the Hull City manager in 2017 in what was his first managerial job in English football. Silva also managed other English teams such as Watford and Everton before his managerial tenure at Fulham started at the end of last season.
The last Premier League match for Marco Silva was as the Everton manager before the opening weekend of this season's Premier League campaign. For the opening weekend of the Premier League this season, Marco Silva and his Fulham players impressed as they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool who are second favourites for the Premier League title. Serbian international AleksandarMitrovic scored a brace either side of the half-time break for Fulham during the game, while Mohamed Salah and substitute Darwin Nunez scored the goals for the Reds.
After seven games in the Premier League this season, Silva and Fulham are in the top six with eleven points. They are two points adrift of Brighton and Hove Albion who are the last team in the top four.
