UI-JO SET FOR OLYMPIAKOS LOAN MOVE

South Korean attacker Hwang Ui-Jo is on the verge of joining Greek Super League giants Olympiakos on loan for this season. This is according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who said the South Korean international will sign for Olympiakos as a Nottingham Forest player.

Nottingham Forest are one of the three newly promoted teams in the Premier League alongside the duo of Fulham and Bournemouth. They have made a lot of signings in the transfer market this summer. As a matter of fact, they are one of the biggest spenders in European football as far as this summer’s transfer window is concerned. It has been reported that Nottingham Forest are closing in on a deal to sign Hwang Ui-Jo from French side Bordeaux for £4m before he's loaned to Olympiakos in the Greek league. Nottingham Forest and Olympiakos have the same owner, AngelosMarinakis who's a native of Greece.

Marinakis has backed Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper in the transfer window this summer after he masterminded the club's promotion to the Premier League by winning the Championship playoffs last season thanks to the one-nil win over Huddersfield Town in the final. Nottingham Forest have made 16 signings in this summer's transfer window and Ui-Jo would be signing number 17 if he completes his transfer from French football.Ui-Jo is expected to leave Bordeaux this summer after he could not prevent the team from dropping into French Ligue II. He played his part in the quest to prevent Bordeaux from suffering demotion from French Ligue I by finding the back of the net eleven times in the league, but it was not enough at the end of the season. His eleven goals came in 32 league appearances.
Apart from Hwang Ui-Jo, Nottingham Forest are also in talks to sign highly rated Blackpoolwinger Josh Bowler. Nothing has been agreed between Nottingham Forest and Blackpool for Bowler.
